  2. But a more proper proof is needed. Yours is just a only one of the cases. Try something like this:

    1) Let there be a square ABCD on the concentric circles with center O.

    2) Due to British Flag Theorem (see similar foxes in www.8foxes.com:
    OA^2 + OC^2 = OB^2 + OD^2

    3) OA, OB, OC, and OD can take the following values only: 1, 2, 3, and 4.

    4)
    1^2 + 2^2 = 3^2 + 4^2 ? NO
    1^2 + 3^2 = 2^2 + 4^2 ? NO
    1^2 + 4^2 = 2^2 + 3^2 ? NO
    There is no other combination.

    5) NO such ABCD square exists.

    But is someone try to draw a square, he or she must know that all rectangles is not square
