  1. I don't quite understand where I'm making an error. The circle concerned will have a radius of 1/√3 and hence the required length of arc =(1/√3)(5∏/3)= 5∏/3√3. Isn't that so?

  2. That's right - i was looking at the wrong triangle!But still angle = 2∏ - ∏/3 = 5∏/3 or what?

  3. Sorry, my mistake. But the answer is not 5pi/3. Let me update the question...

    The total length of the trajectory is 2 x 5pi/3 = 10pi/3.
    2 x because of 2 major arcs, one on each side of the line.
