    anyway
    If you draw whole circle it will be easy to se how to solve and as you wrote the aswer will be 1/4

  5. Rotate everything by β/2 clockwise. Then all calculations become vertical and horizontal.

    For example:

    x = sqrt(4-cos(β/2)^2) - 2*sin(β/2)

    z = sin(β/2)

    Therefore cos(β/2) = sqrt(5/8)

    cos(β/2)^2 = 5/8 = (1 + cos(β/2))/2

    cos(β) = 1/4
